Samsung Smart TV app generator for Yeoman

Well it’s been a loooooooooooong time since I’ve posted anything. However recently I’ve been creating an open source Yeoman generator to create a Samsung Smart TV application.

It’s still a work in progress so I would love to hear some thoughts on it.

To get started make sure you have yeoman installed.

Next install the Smart TV generator:

You will also need VirtualBox installed and download and import the SDK Emulator for VirtualBox.

Now that you are all setup you can start creating an app.

This will give you a few prompts that will guide you through the setup of your app. Once that is done it will give you a basic app using the Application Framework. If you want to use CoffeeScript just pass the --coffee parameter after the yo smarttv

The setup has created a src folder that all the files for you application will go into. By default therer is 1 scene created called Main, which includes a CSS file, JavaScript file and a HTML file.

You can add additional scenes by using the scene subgenerator

Just replace <scene_name> with the name of the scene that you would like to create. This will generate an additional CSS, JavaScript, and HTML files for your new scene.

To test your app run

This will open the emulator and then you just need to click on your app.

Like I said before, this is still a work in progress, so if you do run into any bugs please submit them in the issues tracker.

I you have any thoughts on how this could be made better please let me know in the comments.

  2. This content is very informative but it took me a long time to find it in google.
I found it on 20 spot, you should focus on quality backlinks building, it will help you to rank to google top 10.
And i know how to help you, just type in google – k2 seo

  3. Owners of new internet projects might uncertain as worried regarding all manner
in which their content will get indexed. If you are a photographer who still doesn’t have
a powerful online presence and is still insisting on charging your
ridiculous price for digital negatives out of fear that your customers probably
take them someplace else to get them printed, the way long do you might think you will
last. You must be aware that some of them are just interested in your money which is not worthwhile for their poor services.
